The desktop computer you've been waiting for: Raspberry Pi 500+
When the Raspberry Pi 2 was released last year, one of the new possibilities that didn't escape notice from the community was the ability to have Ubuntu on the Pi. We've already seen fruits from this with Ubuntu MATE on Pi but now there's a new solution on the block with Ubuntu Pi Flavour Maker.
Pi Flavour Maker gives you multiple configurations of Ubuntu suitable for the Raspberry Pi 2, starting with headless, minimal spins of the Ubuntu server as well as offering full desktop versions that make use of Lubuntu and Xubuntu as well as the aforementioned MATE.
Take a look at the varieties of Ubuntu you can grab on the download site and have a go with something a bit different this new year.
